A server of your own, fully under your control

Cloud Direct Hosting is for anyone who wants to run their own VPS without setting everything up from scratch. We configure the server once: operating system, basic security, network settings. After that, the server is entirely yours.

You get full root access. You install what you want, configure what you need and decide how the server is used. There is no monthly management on our side — that is a deliberate choice. Cloud Direct is for professionals who do not need it.

How soon is my server active after ordering?

Once your payment is received, your server is created within minutes and you receive the login details by email. We then schedule the one-time configuration: the operating system, basic security and network settings. After the configuration the server is fully ready for use.

Is Cloud Direct a managed server?

No. Cloud Direct is not managed hosting. We configure the server once — operating system, basic security and network settings — and deliver it ready to use. After that, you are responsible for the management: updates, software installations and further configuration. Want us to take over the management? Then have a look at our Managed Server.

What is included in the one-time configuration?

We install the operating system, set up the basic security, configure the network settings and give you access. The server is ready for use. Further installations and configuration are up to you, using your own root access.

Can I upgrade to a larger plan later?

Yes. You can upgrade to a larger plan via your account. Contact us about the options within your annual contract, or to discuss which plan best fits your situation.

Are backups included?

Yes. Daily backups are included in the Start plan. In the Professional plan the backup retention can be extended. In the Business plan you can add further options.

What if I need technical help after delivery?

Cloud Direct is self-managed, but you can always call on our webmaster support for one-off technical jobs. It costs €39.95 excl. VAT per half hour and is available via a help ticket.

Who is Cloud Direct suitable for?
