Digital Services Act

Domein Direct considers a safe and trustworthy internet important. We provide web hosting, email and related internet services, which makes us a hosting service within the meaning of the European Digital Services Act (DSA). Have you come across illegal content on a website or in email hosted by Domein Direct? You can report it to us here. We handle every report promptly, carefully, objectively and without arbitrariness.

What can you report?

Content that is unlawful. This includes infringement of copyright or trademark rights, unlawful, discriminatory or threatening content, phishing, malware, spam or other abuse. Not sure whether something is illegal? Report it anyway — we will assess it.

How do you submit a report?

Send your report to abuse@domein-direct.nl. So that we can assess your report properly, we ask you to include the following:

  • as clear an explanation as possible of why you consider the content illegal;
  • the exact location, preferably the precise URL(s);
  • your name and email address, so that we can keep you informed (this is not required for reports concerning child sexual abuse material);
  • a confirmation that you are submitting the report in good faith and that your details are accurate.

What happens after your report?

You will receive an acknowledgement of receipt as soon as possible. We will then assess the report. If the content does prove to be illegal or in breach of our terms and conditions, we will take appropriate measures, such as removing the content or making it inaccessible, or suspending the service. We will inform you of our decision. The customer concerned will receive a statement of reasons for the measure and the opportunity to appeal against it.
