Describe your idea to ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and let the AI create the files. Upload them to your own hosting and your website is online under your own domain name — with email and SSL included.
In three steps
Where you once needed a design and code first, you now explain in plain language what you want. The AI takes care of the structure, the copy and the technology.
Tell the AI what your business does, which pages you want and what style you have in mind. That is your prompt.
HTML, CSS and JavaScript where needed, including the copy and a layout that also works on mobile.
Place the files in the web root of your hosting account over FTP or SFTP. Your website is then reachable straight away through your domain name.
Try it yourself
You do not have to write a technical specification. Start simple and then ask for changes — the AI can keep improving every version.
Create a complete, modern and responsive website for me. Business: [BUSINESS NAME] We provide: [DESCRIPTION] Target audience: [AUDIENCE] Create: - a clear homepage - an overview of our services - an about section - a contact section - clear call-to-action buttons Style: - professional and calm - modern without being excessive - easy to read on mobile, tablet and desktop Technology: - use HTML5, CSS and JavaScript where needed - use as few external dependencies as possible - provide all files in full Also write suitable example copy for the website.
Publishing over FTP
Once the AI has created your website files, you upload them to your web hosting over FTP or SFTP. After that, your website is reachable through your own domain name.
Ask the AI to provide the complete website: index.html, style.css, images and any JavaScript files.
Open an FTP application such as FileZilla and enter the server name, username and password for your hosting account. Use SFTP where available.
Drag the files into the web root of your hosting account. Make sure index.html sits in the main website folder.

After uploading, open your domain name in a browser. If index.html is in the right folder, the website loads straight away. Later changes are uploaded the same way: the existing files are simply replaced.
Choose your own tool
An AI-generated website does not tie you to one platform. If the tool delivers standard website files, you can publish them on your own hosting.
For complete pages and improving code step by step.
Handy for larger code blocks and changes to existing files.
For ideas, copy and developing a website concept further.
Any AI assistant that delivers HTML, CSS or JavaScript works the same way.
Your own hosting
An AI-generated website does not have to be locked into a closed platform. Place the files on your own hosting and your domain name, files and email stay yours.
Which route fits you
No route is "the best" — it depends on what you want to do yourself and how much time you want to put into it.
